Amy Edouard Position Statement

I am writing to express my interest and enthusiasm in serving on the Alliance Board of Directors. With 18 years of experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and a demonstrated commitment to the field of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), I believe my skills, experiences, and passion align with the strategic needs of this organization. My background includes active participation in CPD-related activities and various leadership roles at MSK, which have equipped me with the skills needed to support the Board’s strategic goals.

Since becoming an Alliance member in 2017, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to CPD. I earned my CHCP certification in 2019 and I was selected as one of the inaugural “CPD Forty Under 40” awardees in 2024.  I have served as co-chair for Hospitals & Health Systems (HHS), the largest member section, for the past 4 years.  Additionally, I have had the privilege to participate on several committees (Basics Pre-Conference Workshop, Membership Committee), volunteer as an abstract reviewer, participate in Special Interest Groups and task forces, publish in the Almanac and present during annual meetings. Most recently, in 2024, I joined the Alliance’s AI Task Force, the 50th Anniversary Task Force, and I will co-chair the new NextGen Community which aims to empower emerging leaders within the Alliance. I am also proud to serve as an ACCME Surveyor and to lead monthly Northeast CME virtual meetings with colleagues from regional health/hospital systems and schools of medicine. My range of CPD volunteer activities has helped me keep a pulse on current and future trends, giving me a solid foundation to represent diverse member perspectives and viewpoints on the board.

As Program Manager for MSK’s CME office, I lead a team responsible for planning and delivering 30-40 live accredited activities annually. Over the past several years, including the COVID-19 pandemic, I have played a pivotal role in guiding our team and CME program through significant organizational changes. This included adapting our activity formats to address the changing needs of our learners while complying with evolving policies and regulations. Despite the unprecedented circumstances, we successfully maintained our high volume of quality educational offerings.

In my current role, I oversee all event logistics and manage vendor relationships, while also independently handling commercial support and exhibitor aspects of our live CME activities—responsibilities introduced as part of new policies that I helped implement in 2016 and 2023 respectively. In 2021, I was actively involved in MSK’s reaccreditation survey, which resulted in ACCME Accreditation with Commendation. I take pride in collaborating closely with our activity directors to bring their educational visions to life and create impactful, innovative learning experiences. My continuous efforts to raise the standards of our CME program reflect my commitment to advancing healthcare education, and I am proud of the meaningful work we do.

In closing, I am confident that my CPD experience uniquely positions me as an invaluable candidate to the Board as we steer our way through the dynamic, evolving healthcare environment. Thank you for considering my application to serve on the Alliance Board of Directors. I look forward to continuing to contribute and collaborate on initiatives that advance the mission and vision of this incredible community!
